Baseesa:
Baseesa is mentioned in the old Arabic dictionaries, e.g., Mukhtar as-Sihah
by ar-Razi, which has been around for hundreds of years. There, it is
described as the food produced by slight wetting of flour (or Saweeq or
dried milk) with ghee or oil and eating it uncooked, which is quite
consistent with the custom of most of Bedouins.
