14 Days, 13 Nights

Day1 (Arrival in Cairo)
You will be met at the Cairo International Airport and transferred to our hotel for overnight.

Day 2 (Cairo - Pyramids)
This is a day to go back in time, starting with a visit to the most famous of the Egyptian sphinxes, the Great Sphinx of Giza, followed by the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops). Completed around 2600 BC, this pyramid was 146m (478ft) high and consisted of over 2 million limestone blocks weighing over 2 tons each. Next, we are off to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The Museum houses the world's greatest collection of Ancient Egyptian artifacts, including 12 rooms filled with golden treasures from the world-famous tomb of the boy-king Tutankhamen. Overnight Cairo

Day 3 (Cairo / Aswan (Flight))
An early morning flight takes us to Aswan where we will be transferred to the Oberoi Shahrazad Nile Cruise ship, home for the next three nights. Visits in Aswan include the famous and monumental Aswan High Dam and the romantic and majestic Philae Temple on the Island of Agilka then sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek. It stands at a bend in the Nile where in ancient times sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the riverbank. Continue to Edfu. Overnight

Day 4 (Nile Cruise)
This morning we will be visiting the well-preserved Greek-built Temple of Horus. This temple, built during the reigns of six generations of Ptolemys, is not only the best-preserved ancient temple in Egypt, but also the second largest after Karnak. Return to the ship and sail to Esna, cross the lock and continue to Luxor.

Day 5 (Nile Cruise)
We begin our day with a visit to the West Bank of Luxor to explore the Valley of the Kings, a vast City of the Dead where magnificent tombs were carved into the desert rocks, richly decorated, and filled with treasures for the afterlife by generations of pharaohs. Our visit also includes Queen Hatshepsut's Temple and the Colossi of Memnon.

Day 6 (Luxor / Sharm-el-Sheik (Flight))
After breakfast disembark from the cruise ship and visit the Karnak and Luxor Temples. The ancient Egyptians knew the Temple of Karnak as "Ipet-isut". It is a city of temples built over 2000 years and dedicated to the Theben triad of Amon, Mut and Khonsu, and a place of pilgrimage for nearly 4,000 years.

Luxor Temple was connected to Karnak Temple by an avenue of sphinxes in ancient times. Unlike Karnak, Luxor is mainly the work of one pharaoh - Amenhotep III and was added to by Tutankhamun, Horemheb, Ramses II and Alexander the Great. During Akhenaten's reign, all religion, other than worship of Aten, was rejected and development at Luxor stopped. When Akhenaten died, the old religions returned, along with the priests, thus the temple began to expand again. After the tour we will be transferred for our flight to Sharm el Sheikh. Upon arrival we are met and transferred to our hotel, the Hilton Sharm Water Falls Resort, for overnight.

Day 7 (Sharm-el-Sheik)
Sharm is world renowned for its beautiful beach and offers several sea sports that one may choose to enjoy. The day is free to partake in these activities. Late evening, we will be driven to the Sinai desert to prepare for our ascent on the historical and holy site of St Catherine. Overnight at the St Catherine Tourism Village.

Day 8 (St. Catherine - Aqaba (Jordan))
This day starts with a pre-dawn climb up the biblical Mount Sinai. The feeling of standing on the spot where Moses is reputed to have received the Ten Commandments bathed in the spectacular sunrise view of the Sinai desert is something that must be experienced. After descending, we have breakfast at a local hotel before visiting yet another historical place, St. Catherine's Monastery. The Monastery was constructed on order of Emperor Justinian in the area of what is believed to be Moses' Burning Bush. Afterwards, we will be transferred to Nuweiba to have lunch then transfer to the pier to catch the high-speed ferry to Aqaba in Jordan. You will be met at the port in Aqaba and transferred to the Hotel in Aqaba for overnight.

Day 9 (Aqaba)
Aqaba is the most southern port of Jordan on the Red Sea and is full of life and activity. It is a place for boating, seafood, bazaars and souq's. Today is free to catch up on some rest or explore all that Aqaba has to offer.

Day 10 (Aqaba - Petra (Drive))
This morning we depart Aqaba for Petra. Along the way we will stop to explore Wadi Rum, where we will enjoy an exhilarating 4X4 ride visiting the Wadi Um Eshreen, the Moving Sand, Al Khazali, Abu Aineh and Rum Mountain. We will see the trail of Lawrence of Arabia and the famous Red Mountains. Afterwards we proceed north to the spectacular lost city of Petra. Overnight in Petra

Day 11 (Petra)
Petra is one of the most magnificent sites in the Middle East. After passing the main gate we embark on horseback to the entrance of the siq (canyon). We will have a guide to explain the sites, monuments, and history as we wander among the tombs, temples, water cisterns, the Roman Theater, street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, the massive Courthouse, Roman Street and Triumphal Arch, ending at Qasr Al-Bint.

Day 12 (Petra - Amman (Drive))
After breakfast depart Petra and continue northwards to Amman with stops to visit the Dead Sea, and the Christian town of Madaba where we will visit St. George's Apostle Church, home to a stunning mosaic map of the ancient Middle East. Continue to nearby Mount Nebo where we will visit the church on top of the hill from where, it is believed, Moses viewed the Promised Land. Continue to Amman and check into the Hotel for overnight.

Day 13 (Amman)
Amman, the capital of Jordan, offers both the old and new. Our day tour starts with a visit to see the Roman Amphitheater followed by the Citadel, the Archeological Museum, and the beautiful King Abdullah Mosque. We will spend time at the local souq and visit the newly built exclusive area of Abdoun. Afterward we will go out of town to see the huge Roman site at Jerash where we will see the Triumphal Arch, the Hippodrome, the Temple of Zeus, the Forum, the mile long street of Columns, the Nymphaeum, the Temple of Artemis and the Viaduct Church.

Day 14 (Depart Amman)
