Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival

Your driver will be waiting at Amman (AMM) Airport to take you directly to your hotel in Amman, a 40-minute drive. There are no activities planned for today. Please note that hotel check-in time is typically after 2:00 pm. Early check-in is not guaranteed, but luggage storage is available at the hotel. You will have time to rest and settle in before meeting your cycling guide for the trip. The guide will answer any questions you may have about the journey and ensure you are briefed on the upcoming program.

Day 2: Jerash and Ajloun

After breakfast, transfer to Rabad Castle (Ajloun Castle) to visit the Islamic military castle used by Saladin's armies to protect the region from Crusaders. Enjoy a short hike in Ajloun Forest before heading to Jerash, the "Pompeii of the East." Enter Jerash through the monumental South Gate and wander through the Roman city, including the Oval Plaza, the Roman Theatre, Byzantine churches with mosaic-covered floors, and the Nymphaeum. The acoustics in the theatre are remarkable, often used for the Jerash Music Festival. In the evening, return to Amman to enjoy the night highlights of the capital, followed by dinner at your hotel or a local restaurant. Overnight in Amman.

Day 3: Hike in Dana Nature Reserve

An early start for a 2.5-hour drive south to the Dana Biosphere Reserve, Jordan's largest nature reserve. At the Rummana campsite, meet your local guide and embark on a beautiful, gentle walk around the head of Wadi Dana to the village. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of the valley and the chance to spot various birds and animals. Your guide will point out animal tracks and identify medicinal plants. The trail ends at Dana Village, a collection of old stone houses with spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy lunch at the visitor center, then stay in a simple but friendly guesthouse in Dana village.

Day 4: Petra Tour

Transfer to Petra early in the morning to explore the ruins. The classic entry to the city takes you through the Siq, a narrow canyon that twists for over a mile through red sandstone, leading to the Treasury, a stunning monument cut into rock 2,000 years ago. Petra is a vast archaeological site with many highlights, including the Temple of the Winged Lions, the High Place of Sacrifice, the Roman Theatre, and the Byzantine church. Spend the day exploring Petra, one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the Middle East. In the evening, check into your hotel in Wadi Musa for the next two nights.

Day 5: Petra Madras Trail and Wadi Rum Bedouin Camp

Start today’s hike by leaving the crowds behind and walking along an ancient Nabataean processional route toward the High Place of Sacrifice. Along the way, you’ll encounter ancient stone steps and rock carvings. From the High Place, take in views of Petra and the surrounding area before descending into Wadi Farasa to see some of the best temples, including the Garden Tomb and the Roman Soldier's Tomb. Afterward, explore more tombs and temples before leaving Petra through the main Siq.

In the afternoon, head to Wadi Rum to your Bedouin camp, where you will enjoy the sunset and a traditional Bedouin feast cooked in the "zerb" (an oven made of fire-heated sand and stone). Spend the night in a simple but comfortable Bedouin camp, sharing stories around the fire under the night sky.

Day 6: Wadi Rum (Jeep & Hiking)

After breakfast, set off in jeeps for a short drive to the Burda Rock Bridge, one of Wadi Rum’s most impressive geological formations. Hike across the sandstone to reach the bridge and take in views across the desert. Afterward, enjoy a 3-hour round trip, then stop for lunch and a siesta. Continue by jeep to the red dunes, with a chance to see ancient rock art depicting a camel caravan crossing the desert. At the dunes, enjoy running down the soft sand before heading back to the camp for a peaceful night in the desert.

Day 7: Wadi Rum (Camel Ride) - Dead Sea

Wake up to a quiet desert morning and take an hour-long camel ride across the sands of Wadi Rum. Enjoy the peaceful ride before arriving back at Rum village. Say goodbye to your Bedouin hosts and head out by road to the Dead Sea. Check into a comfortable resort/spa hotel where you can float in the warm, intensely saline water. The Dead Sea, at 400 meters below sea level, is renowned for its curative properties, and you can cover yourself in mineral-rich mud from the seabed. The surrounding landscape of blue water, white salt-encrusted shores, and red desert mountains creates a stunningly beautiful setting.

Day 8: Departure

A group transfer will be provided from your hotel to Amman (AMM) Airport, a 40-minute drive. We wish you a safe journey home and hope to see you again in Jordan soon.
